Excused:

1. Situation with respect to general context (war, pandemic, etc.)

  • No specific difficulties have been reported.

2. Regular items

  • The regular items - user requirements, on-going SB actions, bug reports, new publications, CPU and physics performances - were reviewed.

3. Status of census

  • A new procedure for the annual census of Geant4 members has been created. It is based on Limesurvey, which each Geant4 member needs to fill, and where the contribution and the plan of work for each Working Group is required. The census in nearly concluded, with final checks undergoing by the coordinators of each Working Group. The census is expected to be completed in the second half of February.

  • In parallel, the plan of work for each Working Group is in preparation, and its final version will be presented to the users in a dedicated Technical Forum, likely towards the end of March.

4. Election of Working Group coordinators and spokesperson

  • This year is an election year, so each Working Group should carry out the election of its representatives at the Steering Board. The results of the election for all Working Groups are expected to be completed by the first half of March.

  • After that, the election process of the spokesperson of the Collaboration will start.

  • The elected members will be on charge for two years.

5. Geant4 assessment of the AdePT and Celeritas R&D projects

  • For the assessment of AdePT and Celeritas R&D projects, held at CERN in December, a report is in preparation and expected to be released in the second half of February. The report contains common recommendations, and two small ones, with recommendations specific to each project.
